I like to take a loptop with me when I travel but don't like the weight. I received my Acer One unpacked it got it going and everthing was fine until it booted to windows, then everything went black continued loading windows flickered a few time from black to desktop then came back and loaded windows. Tried to get connection with my wireless; this worked the first time okay. I loaded word and excell. Did some work played around and shut down. Next day booted it up and the same blackout and flicker started again. Then I could'nt get on the internet. No wireless connections found. So I got my regular laptop out and booted up, no problems connecting. SO I called Acer, only through the email, told me to do a e reinstall. Lost everything went through the whole process and the blackout flickering started all over again. Got ahold of Acer again and was told it was a hardware issue to return it. So Amazon (You are so wonderful to do business with Thank You.) sent me a new one and I packaged up the old one and sent it back. All excited I opened the new one (#2) booted it up, went through the whole thing again and the black out, flickering started again. And no wireless internet found. So I got my laptop booted her up and signed right on. So once again I contacted Acer did the whole email thing and was told to do a e reinstall. Forget it. I called Amazon and they are giving me a full refund and I am sending this thing back. I will be searching for another travel laptop, does anyone have a suggestion on a great light weight travel computer???? Anyway don't buy this thing, not worth the hassle. Customer Review: Decent Netbook This little netbook isn't too bad. It is plenty of computer for someone who wants to browse the internet, use Office Productivity Software, or listen to music. If you come at this machine with the right attitude, you will be pleased. It's important to keep in mind, with a screen the size it is, you don't have a lot of screen real-estate. Viewing webpages might often take a lot of scrolling. Using Full-screen mode for Internet Explorer/Firefox does help though. Overall, as long as you don't expect too much from the computer, it works well. |

Amazon recommended upgrading the memory for 24.98. The memory arrived in a package by itself, no instructions at all. I read all of the reviews for the memory & everyone said it was easy to upgrade. I still couldn't figure it out so I contacted Acer. They responded & said that this model is not upgradable. I now have to deal with a return. The Acer Aspire One is a nice little netbook but it is a little slow. It's nice to have for e-mail & shopping. Customer Review: Easy traveler We bought this netbook to have easy access to e-mail and web info while we travel. At 2 pounds, it fits easily (and without a case)into a handbag or tote--with a lot less bulk than a notebook. It even comes with a tiny mouse and three USB ports. We have no trouble with the touchpad, which is mentioned in some reviews. On the negative side: it is quite slow, with both wi-fi and ethernet connections. The software provided is minimal, so we purchased a tiny external CD drive to solve this problem. It was clear from the information that there was/is no CD/DVD capability. If portability and minimal computing power is what you need, this is the perfect solution. For anything else, use a real notebook or laptop. All in all, this computer does exactly what we wanted and is lots of fun. |

Acer Aspire One 8.9" Mini Laptop 8.9-inch acer netbook fit 3 Cell 6 Cell Battery Carrying Case (5 Color Available)
Customer Review: Great product Great product. This case if definitely big enough for the 6-cell laptop. It has room for the mouse in the outside pocket too. Customer Review: A pretty tight fit for an Acer Aspire One This is really a nice carrying case, although I'm concerned that the nylon zipper is not going to last long. The fit of the computer is very tight. At first, I wasn't sure if the netbook would even fit in the case, but it did. When I zipped it shut, the zipper was already straining. Maybe this this will stretch out a bit, but I'm afraid the zipper my fatigue before it stretches out. It would be nice to have a slightly larger case; not much larger, but just enough to reduce the strain on the zipper. |

It is backed by a limited warranty for parts and labor for one year from date of purchase. Customer Review: Don't purchase the extra memory for 24.98! |

Built-in media reader Supports Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Multimedia and xD-Picture Card formats for easy image transfer, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition operating system with Service Pack 1 Customer Review: Only one flaw that I can find And that is there is no turn off button for the onboard mouse. I HATE the onboard mouse on all laptops and choose instead to use the usb ports to plug in my usual mouse. It would be nice if I could turn the mouse on the laptop off with a simple switch. I've had other laptops that would allow me to do this, so I know it is an option, and I don't know why Acer didn't incorporate one into this model. But, overall it is a minor flaw and it is one I can live with. Everything else about this laptop makes up for that one flaw. The external volume control is a bonus. My old laptop didn't have one and I always wished it did. Nice to have it now. There is a keypad to the right of the main keyboard and I really like that. The duo core processor comes in handy for gaming. I like to play various different games on my laptop, one of which is World of Warcraft, and this laptop handles that quite nicely. If it weren't for the one flaw of not having a simple switch to turn the onboard mouse and and off, I'd say this laptop was a perfect match for me. |

PCMicroStore Branded Non-OEM Case. 1 Year Unconditional Warranty if purchased through PCMicroStore Customer Review: Great little bag This is a great little bag for your mini netbook. Originally purchased this for a 9" which was recently exchanged for a 10" netbook and it fits either one. Two spacious pockets in front will hold your adapter and a few other items if need be. And I love the pink! Customer Review: Perfect case! This case is amazing! I ordered the black one with the outside pocket, and let me say that it exceeds my expectations. The case was big enough to fit my 8.9 inch 6-cell battery ACER Aspire One laptop with room to spare. The outside pocket fit my charger, but it was tricky to figure out the fit at first. I know some people have complained about the smell, and while it does smell a little, I hardly noticed it. The delivery was quick and without hassle. This case is especially great because it is so hard to find slim sleeves for the ACER Aspire One laptop in my area (Chicago.) I use it to carry my laptop in my schoolbag without taking up too much room. |
